We strive to provide an environment where every girl can develop her God-given talents and mature into a well-adjusted and productive young woman. Embrace Florida Kids is currently licensed through the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to house and care for six teenaged girls at any given time at our group home located in Milton, Florida.
The Milton Girls Home provides more than 10 girls with more than 1,600 combined days of care each year.*

The Milton Girls Home offers a nurturing and welcoming home environment for girls that come from all socioeconomic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, with many having faced difficult emotional challenges. We serve these young women by offering a safe and stable home setting where they can connect with other girls who have experienced such challenges. Moreover, we provide them access to nurturing and caring staff who encourage growth and development through mentoring, academic accountability, and spiritual care.
Each child follows an individualized plan of care developed by our qualified caregivers to position them for success. Our licensed and accredited team works to develop a customized plan for continued success. Elements of the plan include the following:
Our beautiful home site along Escambia Bay offers young women areas to study, play, and relax in a secure and comfortable setting. When it is safe to do so, we make every effort to involve families and loved ones in the children’s lives and ultimately help transition them back into their own homes. When this is not possible, we work with the community to provide opportunities for family involvement outside of the group home.
The Milton Girls Home is located in Milton, Florida, but serves a four-county radius.
“When you grow up without a family, or when you grow up poor, you have to grow up quick. And that usually results in the idea that I am a woman, even at the age of 14. The Milton Girls Home in Milton really helped me find friendship among sisters and find support from the staff to transition and embrace adulthood in a healthy, positive way, while still enjoying what it means to be a teenager. Our paths into adulthood are all different, but finding this place helped me find myself.”
Our Girls Home relies heavily on donations to help support our young women. We always accept donations in the form of money or items. Check out our Amazon Wish List for current items of need.
